Options and Accessories
- Cabled or Hard-wired
- SQ3TS portable traffic control system comprises a two-conductor, shielded communication wire interconnecting the units to create a master/slave conflict-monitoring system. All programming accomplished through one unit.
- Radio
- Two traffic control units communicate using a radio frequency. They may alsobe operated remotely at a distance of up to 1,000 yards.
- Solar Operation
- Solar panels generate electric power to maintain batteries to allow units to run on cloudy days or for use on long-term work sites. Panels are clean, quiet, and efficient. Suitable for use in any environment. Batteries are rated for continuous operation for up to 20 days with no sunshine.
- Flagger Module
- Enables a flagger to operate the signals remotely by using a hand-held transmitter and controller. The signal system can be operated from a distance as great as 300 feet — keeping the flagger off the road in a safe location and out of harm’s way. One transmitter can operate one or more modules.
- Traffic Sensors
- Detect traffic in multiple phases of the work zone enabling safe, continuous traffic flow. When no traffic is detected that phase will rest in red or red/green.
- Knock Down Box
- This conversion kit connects the portable traffic control system to the street controller when a permanent traffic light is damaged or requires replacement.
- GPS (Global Positioning System)
- GPS-equipped units transmit their precise locations and operational status to remote displays.
- Preemption
- Emergency vehicles’ sirens activate the light to change to green in the direction the siren was detected. The light will not change until the clear time in the opposing traffic phase is clear. If the traffic phase is on green when the siren is detected it will remain green and afterward default to the set program.
- Intelligent Traffic Sensing
- Automatically adjusts red and green light timing according to the traffic flow.
